a birthday supper

though it's not my birthday today, i am celebrating tonight with a potluck and some lovely friends. so today i will cook and clean and pretty and brighten myself in time for supper though rain mists outside amongst the budding branches. will also listen to the day's broadcasts on cbc radio.
